Special Olympics Fundraiser

Please support! Special Olympics Maui will be collecting donations this Friday at Safeway, Kihei from 8:00am to 7:00pm. Donations will go towards travel expenses for Maui participants of the Special Olympics State games happening on Oahu from June 2 - 4. With 16 students participating, Maui High has the largest delegation from the Valley Isle. They will be competing in swimming, track & field, tee-ball, unified softball and powerlifting at the University of Hawaii campus.

Stop by 808 on Main in Wailuku and enjoy their delicious pudding! A portion of their pudding sales for the month of May will go back to Special Olympics Maui!

2017 Yearbook Distribution

2017 Yearbook Distribution will take place on Monday May 8 and Tuesday May 9, 2017 during LUNCH ONLY.

Report to front of C-Building (library side) on May 8 or May 9 between 12:15-12:45 pm to pick up your books which will be distributed by class (freshmen, sophomores, etc.). Look for the signs and get in the correct line.

The first 200 students to pick up their books will also receive a FREE 8-page autograph insert.

A VERY LIMITED number of books will be available for sale at distribution for $50 (cash only, please).

Kahului Park Closure - May 15 thru August 13

For Immediate Release April 28, 2017
Public Asked to Avoid Construction Areas at Kahului Park - Construction to improve accessibility at Kahului Park will begin Monday, May 15, 2017. Work will include installing a concrete walkway at the park that would connect to the parking lot, bleachers, restrooms and other areas. This is the second phase of a two phase accessibility project at the park to connect the fields and courts in the park to Hina Avenue and Niihau Street. Work at the park will continue through August 13, 2017. During this time the county asks that park users please remain outside of construction area barriers for safety reasons. Mentoring Program


Maui Youth & Family Service's Project Venture Program is looking for high school students who want to be mentors for the remainder of the 2016-17 school and/or the upcoming 2017-18 school year. This program is run after school. They take out middle school youth to many different places around Maui. Activities include hiking, doing team building activities, doing community service projects, camping, swimming and more all while focusing on positive youth development. Students are picked up (around 2:10-2:15pm) and dropped off (generally between 5-5:30pm). More information & applications are available in B100.

Maui High School will be holding Summer School. These courses are for credit recovery only. Summer School will run from June 5th-June 30th from 8:30am-12:30pm. Cost is $50 cash only. (Read more)

College Fair at Maui High, April 10th @ 4 PM

Maui High will be hosting a college fair on Monday, April 10 from 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM in the gym. Over 70 colleges and universities from across the United States and overseas will participate in this fair, which is free of charge and open to the public. This is a great opportunity for students and parents to learn from the experts about the various colleges, including admission and scholarship information. A general college advising and financial aid center will also be available to students and their families to answer specific questions regarding the college admission process and financial aid. Aloha BackPack Buddies Program at MHS

The ALOHA BACK PACK BUDDIES program is available at Maui High School to qualifying students in need. This program of the Maui Food Bank provides a supplemental supply of easy-to-prepare food to students for the weekend. At Maui High, students on free/reduced lunch qualify for the program. It is based on first-come, first-served enrollment for qualifying students.
